Loved the courtyard and the grounds surrounding the hotel. Take care of the ducks!
very relaxing after a busy day staff very friendly
Super room, very clean and comfortable
If you take a look at the glass shelving over the food counters they were extremely dusty, they could nnot have been cleaned for a number of days. Very noticeable and you would be surprised if you looked yourself!!! It did put me off the food I'm afriad. Shame. Attendion to detail is vitally important.
A good modern hotel about ten miles from Chester but 20 minutes in car so not an issue. Rooms modern and a little dark but good quailty overall. Not sure I would have paid full rate but good value at 80 night discount rate. Breakfast good.
Reception wand bar service not the best but when we complained they did sort and gave us a free round of drinks so happy in the end.
1.Lovely comfy beds. 2.Heavy curtains & blinds made it easy to sleep late! 3.Quiet & peaceful in room, though parties going on. 4. Lovely pool & leisure facilities. 5. Staff friendly
Lighting a bit dim - hard to see inside wardrobe & had to have bathroom light on to see enough to make tea & coffee. My mother-in-law who is partially sighted found the lighting quite a problem.Further from Chester than we thought but accessible quite quickly by car. If you didn't have a car, I imagine taxis would be pricey.
It was very convenient for a trip to Chester, for exploring the North Wales coast and Snowdonia. Parking was easy and free.
Their reluctance to accept their mistake for losing the booking made by Booked.net! It took many phonecalls to sort this out which caused me a loit of stress. Although the breakfasts were generally good, the toasting machines were inadequate and it was virtually impossible to produce a decent piece of toast!. I asked for help in carrying bags down to reception at the end of our stay but although help was promised, it did not materialise. The lady on reception was apologetic and provided us with a trolley to take the bags to the car. I was left with a feeling that no-one was in overall charge and it was down to individual members of staff to try and resolve problems. I was told that a rubber bathmat could not be supplied on grounds of Health and Safety....my elderly friend (with whom I shared the room) could have slipped in the bath and hurt herself if I had not been vigilant.
hotel was convenient and comfortable
breakfast was at least 1 hour old when i got it sitting under banbury drying up. was hard to eat i had another breakfast later elsewhere
we were very kindly ungraded due to hotel refurb
the bathroom which i guess is due for a refurb had a bath with lots of chips in
good service relax comfortable good facilities
resteraunt service slow
Day staff were absolutely brilliant and could not do enough! Night staff were poor and disinterested!
Convenient location to motorway road network & Deeside Business park. Comfortable, no surprises
additional credit card charge!
Excellent location. Very well fitted and spacious room. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Can be noisy if you are a light sleeper.
Room comfort & quiet.
Both my wife & I were very disappointed with the evening meal. We paid top prices for fillet steaks. The steaks were only ok & the rest of the plate was not worth a penny & it very quickly went cold. We are accustomed to travel & we certainly know about good food, sadly DeVere ranks very low on our experience. In addition it cost us more than the room did, for that you really must hit the top every time.
yhe breakfast was good
the lack of a lounge to have a coffee and relax, bar area was a bit noisey
Excellent room, caring taff members and spotlessly clean
No complaints whatsoever
